For Sale: 1984 KTM 560

Hi there. Selling my 1984 KTM 560cc Rotax. $2000 obo. The bike has a new Mikuni carb, new clutch plates, new clutch cover gasket, cylinder has been resleeved and pressed in. This was the first year using White Power forks. And yes, the drum brake is original — it’s a regression from the prior year’s disc brake and various articles about this bike claim it to be just as good.

Bike has a left side kick starter. I have the original pipe with a supertrap and the air box.

I have videos of it running. It sounds great, has power, and is fun to ride.

Serial number on frame: 8401 13021. Serial number on motor: 180006.

There is now a class for this to be raced in @AHRMA vintage MX races. I’m told it’s included in the new “Pre Modern” class with AHRMA and that the Off-Road director of AHRMA. And someone told me he already asked the Off-Road director of AHRMA about this. It is raced with the Post Vintage classes in Motocross and same in the Cross Country events.
